The optical track levelling equipment is mainly used by permanent way inspectors during construction and maintenance of railroad tracks and switches. It serves for the determination of the designed height of the top edge of the track, to sight rounded changes of inclination as well as for checking the longitudinal height while conducting the acceptance of tracks and switches. The instrument is set up on a robust metal tripod of 1,35 m height. Telescope with bright optics and wide-angle eyepiece, magnification 25x, aperture 40 mm, height adjustment of trunnion axis up to 50 mm. Milimeter reading up to 80 m, target on metal tubular stand with 2 mm E-block graduation (measuring range +140mm/-70 mm).
