The GLUNI is used for the renewal and maintenance of tracks and switches when setting out precalculated chord offsets. Long chords up to 120 m length may be set out and chord offsets up to 1500 mm can be measured. The measuring system GLUNI consists of the optical instrument (magnification 30x, objective aperture 40 mm) with optical plummet, the track adapter (instrument station), the track adapter (target site) and the extension cross bar. For measuring chord offsets the distance from one track to the other can be measured with adaptable target pole and plumb rod and also the distance to the axis of the neighbouring track can be fixed. With the corresponding accessories telescope spirit level and levelling tripod the optical track measuring instrument GLUNI can be used as a level or with the corresponding accessories for sighting it can also be used as a sighting instrument.
