The double image comparator (base 1 m) is suitable for testing rulers with line graduations and levelling rods, particualarly Invar levelling rods. The exact length of the rod to be tested is determined by comparing it with a standard of aged French Invar. Micrometer reading 0,01 mm; Estimation 0,001 mm including illumination device for measuring scale and measuring points.
