| Sag measuring instrument for open air transmission lines DUMES |
No. 7009 DUMES
When installing open air transmission lines the sag measuring instrument DUMES is used for the adjustment of conductor cables and to control the sag. The DUMES is mounted on the lattice mast by means of an adjustable angle element with 5/8“ tapped hole. The DUMES is levelled up to the aiming direction by means of a tubular level which is fixed at the telescope support. The main component of the DUMES is a precision telescope with a magnification 30x movable in three axes. When the telescope is aligned exactly towards the measuring mark at the lattice mast opposed the telescope is moved laterally to the deepest points of sag for measurement of the sag and for the adjustment. Due to the third axis the point of setting up of the measuring instrument, the measuring mark and the points of the deepest sag are placed in one plane.
